Here Are A Few More Images From Haleakala Crater, Hawaii
Getting Organized & Making a Schedule
Working for Yourself…
I have spent the last couple of days working on this Tim Loomis Photography website; blog plus my Life Coaching website & blog at ConnectingPointe; my Creative Business Consultants website & blog.
Last October I got busy and scanned some of my old slides that I took in Kipahulu Valley on the island of Maui. One of the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Island chain. Okay, I’m biased and love all the islands!
One of the hardest aspects of being my own boss is keeping track of time and focused on my projects. I find that I get caught up in a project and loose track of the others on my plate. I have found that it is very important for me to set goals for what I want and the priority of each one. Once this is done set up a schedule for myself, that supports me in staying on track for accomplishing me goals.
An example is taking the time to write my blogs for my 3 sites. Creating the time to scan and work on my photographs. Time to work on my clients projects. Time for my coaching clients and then time for my wife and family… Time for me too!!! Whew!
So I am going to keep track of my photo goals here on this blog. I am discovering that this is a great way for me to stay on track and keep my focus. I am using my other blogs to keep track of my coaching and web business. So my blogs have become an intricate part of my day rather than something to do… Subtle and very powerful time management… Create a blessed and magical day… I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject as well…
Scanning Slides from My Past
I have worked on scanning some old slides from the 70s as well and I keep forgetting how much time that takes.
So what is the bottom line here? Could it possibly be managing my time? What are my priorities. Obviously, my blogging has been at the bottom of the pile. My dreams have been about revamping and spending more time with my blogs and wanting to create relationships that are not about selling or helping. I want to create relationships where we support each other in creating JOY in our lives for ourselves and thus the people around us. This planet sure can use more joy!
I have scanned pictures of Haleakala Crater on Maui in Hawaii… Bringing back wonderful memories. Memories of a time in my life where I was very close to the earth energy’s. A time of being very connected to myself and discovering my place in the scheme of things. I didn’t realize at the time, I was building the foundation for what I would start to build in the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
This idyllic life was too soon come crashing down. An opportunity to step deep inside myself and start a new season of my life. This one was definitely a work season. A time where I stepped into the abyss of being a victim to my life and the world around me. An opportunity to look inside and make some different choices and discover many subconscious belief systems that were really running my life. To connect with people instead of pushing people away. To stop hiding in the wilderness. Okay, now to go on to some other aspects of my social networking as I am very conscious of where I am spending my time… Priorities… Create a blessed and magical day. I would love to hear some of your stories… Tim
What am I creating?
I’m Back!
I have spent the last few days redesigning and connecting my photo blog here with the website. My platform is now ready for content! Okay, now what do I do!!!! I feel like I am staring at a blank canvas!!! Oh boy!
Welcome to my Photography Blog
I am getting back into my photography after a 15 year hiatus! My focus this year is to scan the thousands of slides I took in the 70s and create new works of art from them. Here are a few samples of what I created for a show at Square Deal Framing last summer.
I also want to scan and work on my images from my ‘Indian Cowboy’ Project that I did from 1977 to 1982. Okay I am a little slow and now we have some wonderful technology to support me in getting my work out.
